I bought a used 2001 187 merc 150 xr6 several years ago and put a single 8 foot gen 3 talon (3 stage spike) it crapped out on me and was not repairable. I can get 2 - 8 foot talons gen 2s but was curious how they would effect the performance of the 187 and saw 2 on your boat.

any issues ?

I haven't noticed any difference in performance. I did, however, add lithium batteries for the t-motor and electronics. The weight savings pretty much offset the weight of the poles, plus gave me room to mount the pumps in the same box. I believe the talons weigh a bit more so that is something to consider as well. Also, I'm being pushed by a 175 EFI.
