Think about this for a stretch... Let's say half of the welfare population are using drugs. If drug testing was mandatory, then probably half of that half would stop using in order to get a check. Then if a quarter of that reaming half who wishes to use drugs, has to go out and get a job to buy them with.........With the lack of cliental...perhaps even the Drug Dealer himself may need to go get a job??????????? While I agree the tests should be mandatory you have to think crime would sky rocket. Lets face it take an addicts money away and they are going to find a way to get what they need. It's an excellent concept and in a perfect world people would either fail and get a job or they are clean and actually need the help. But I just feel you take the free money away those of us that actually work for a living would come home to empty houses and have full pawn shops on every block.
