Re: Patoka: Please Post Your Patoka Reports in this Thread (indyfisher)
fished 2 day club clssic tourney 9-29&30.had 2 keepers saturday@ 4.60lbs was 3 1/2 lbs down came back sunday with 4 keepers @ 10.25lbs to win clssic with 14.85lbs with a 3.12 largemouth and a 3.02 smallie.it was tough to say the least. cold front blue bird skies put them tight to cover.we put together a pattern that was good enough to get-r-done and put $1100in our pockets. that makes 3 club wins in a row 4 in a row all together.it seems potoka is becoming quite good for smallies this year. ive seen more weighed in than ever.won a club tourney a couple weeks ago and had a 3.75pound smallie.ive heard guys catchin limits of them and then cullin with bigger largemouths.i guess the shad is really helpin them too.surface temp was in low to mid seventies morning warming to upper seventies by weigh in.with the warming top water oughta be on this week!

Re: Patoka: Please Post Your Patoka Reports in this Thread (Passion 4 Bassin)
Patoka Lake: Saturday 6-22-08
Fished a small club tourney from 6 AM to 3 PM
Beautiful clear and cool morning with air temps hoovering around 60 as we launched. Warmed to low 80's by afternoon and was occasionally somewhat cloudy. Winds were relatively calm until late when a storm blew up.
I have never been on Patoka and saw so few bass boats! Fished our first spot for around 2 hours off of main lake and saw 2 other boats...period!
Water temp was 79 to 81 in the areas we fished.
Water clarity: Clear to very clear.
Water level is VERY high at 6.5 feet over summer pool. You can get under the 145 bridge, but don't try it standing up!
Although we tried hard, we couldn't manage an early morning top water bite. So we then went to main lake points and drug soft plastics off of points. We caught fish on these points when there was grass. The fish would bite on the outside edge of the grass in 10 to 15 feet of water. We didn't have a great day but had 12 pounds on 4 keepers which got us 2nd place in our club tourney. I believe that 1st place had almost 15 pounds including a 6.51.
From what I could tell the people in our club who relied on the shallow bite didn't fair nearly as well.
Tight Lines!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

Re: Patoka: Please Post Your Patoka Reports in this Thread (repdept)
Went Friday the 5th had a great day cloud cover and spiting rain. Best 5 would go 20 LBS easy. Just find the grass which was the hardest part.
