Most guys are not going to launch and run a 100 mile round trip fun fishing . Sure it will get a little more pressure . Looked like a fun place to fish .
Lets see how long it is before Boyd and his cronies show up . Dollar to a donut it’s on there schedule next year .
The Nickajack Dam is toast
Actually it’s the opposite. BASS has been the organization for the past 10 years that’s consistently gone to the exact same places. MLF has been the opposite. Matter of fact, if you look at the “Best 100 Lakes” joke that BASS does every year you’ll see that some of the lakes they didn’t have on the list in years prior magically made the top 15 after MLF went there.
MLF just went to the chowan last year which is the same chain as the pasquotank.
One guy hammered em... The rest were pretty average for an elite event... I'd think you'll be just fine...
Seen on the local news that Alabama bass have been found in the Roanoke.
Did those guys who made that long run across the sound have to refuel before returning back to the launch ?
total fluke but i ended up down there at the exact same time fishing the chowan. You can see the place's potential, but it by no means is the fishery that the single 100+ lb bag made it out to be. We had three boats running for 3 full days and the biggest fish caught was a 4lber...
speaking of yadkin, badin looks to be fishing pretty good right now! Beautiful fish in that place, weights were stacked

i remember back in or around 2015 or so a bunch of boaters crossed the sound and went into the Chowan River , at the end of the day there was 18 boats that couldnt make it back to the roanoke river for weigh in ,, it took way into the night to get every accounted for and on the trailer , that water shed aint no joke , it can get very ruff fast
