Champion_206 you have a few options in either Premium, Platinum or Navionics +. I'd recommend Platinum over Premium as they both have the same pre-loaded regional NauticalCharts mapping however Platinum has SonarCharts, which is the most advanced mapping layer available today, due to countless contributions from both the Navionics community as well as cartography outlets from around the country/world.
I run the Navionics + exclusively. Equipped with both SonarCharts and NauticalCharts, the + card comes both preloaded as well as offers region less downloading in both the U.S. and Canada. I fish all over the country and with running three networked Lowrance Gen3 Touch 12's, I now only need one Navionics cards to cover 100% of my mapping needs.

I lost my mapping. I paged back to my map from down scan and no more map. Can a chip go bad or fry itself?

Is there nothing at all? You did check to see if your cursor was on your present location and not your previous right?
Of of course anything can go bad, yes but it's uncommon. If it's an Elite then you're usung just the micro SD so that should check off the card housing as the issue as more often than not if the actual card goes bad it's really just the housing.
First and foremost, you'll have to see if it's the card or the unit by simply trying the card in another unit or trying another card n the same unit.
If I sell my HotMaps Premium card East to someone, can they transfer the card to their Navionics account out of my account?

I posted this question on the normal threads but just found this sticky: I have 2 hds7 touch, one on the console and one on the bow. Both are networked through a wifi module. I also have a Samsung galaxy tab and can view and control either hds unit. I have the navionics+ card installed in one hds and also have the navionics+ US&Canada app on the galaxy tab. I am trying to do the live mapping on the tablet but don't have the live option when it is running. Do I have to physically download that section of map on my tablet before I leave the house in order to map the area?
Under Menu, chart settings activate Sonarcharts Live. If I were you I would also download the map
Hey guys, can someone tell me if you can upload data from a lowrance system to sonar charts. I uploaded last year after Lowrance agreed to allow it. However, I read earlier that with the new software update, Lowrance will not allow that any longer. Has that changed? I would like to know before I purchase another year.

The grid lines should go away I believe. They're there simply to show what region or lakes you have on that card. Are you seeing just a line here and a line there, or are they is serious issue? Is the card brand new? If so, did it just happen all of a sudden or always been that way?
Recent update
My brother is at Ky lake and having a problem with his card. I believe it's a 2010 platinum in a hds-12gen 2. He says it's not showing the contours in the right spot. His way points are correct though. Basically he will be fishing a contour line which should be in at least 20 ft of water on the edge of the ledge, but when he looked at his depth, it was showing 5 foot. He then switched to insight mapping and it showed him up on top of the ledge. He also says that all the creeks are only showing the main channel going in and that's it, the rest of the creek just shows a body of water with no contours. Anybody ever see this before? I told him his card must be bad or he needs to do a soft reset.
