Dang you guys fish with some weird stuff- I have to google half this crap to see what it is!
The top two on my list caught me the vast majority of my fish this year. Had a bit of an issue mid summer when I switched jigs and didn't realize I was trying to flip a 3/4oz jig around docks and it really threw off my technique....Too many jigs.
My top 5 in order of fish caught:
1/2 oz All Terrain Rattling AT Jig in Watermelon Red Flake or Black and Blue, sometimes midwest craw depending on water color. I found I really liked a Powerbait chigger craw on the back this summer. In the past I had just used a grub or doubletail grub.
Tokyo Rig with, mostly with a Powerbait Craw Fatty on the back
Teckel Sprinker Frog, in color me pattern, with my own custom coloring of MN leopard frog pattern (Sharpie)
Booyah Toadrunner Frog in Brown
Old School Pop-R
chrome trap
rapala dt 6
bandit 200-300
square bill

Hella, to be honest I had the best luck with the tokyo in clearer water with more natural fatty craws on the back. I used them in both moderately clear to crystal clear (Trout Lake near GR or E/W Sylvia with 12 foot plus visibility) with craw/panfish colors. I also had luck in some of the dirtiest water this year with <2' visibility with black/blue on the back, but found I had better luck in the soupy water with a bigger 1/2oz jig.
Keep it up and suck less! :beers:
