Can you plot routes and waypoints on your PC if I already have the Navionics Platinum subscription? I read FAQ and they say you can but how the heck do you do it on the navionics chartplotter? Totally Noobed this....My desktop has the chart installer but it takes me to my updates page when my SD disk is in.
I'd like to know how also!
You can't view you're map on you're PC. There was a application some years ago that was doing this but it's not available anymore
I got a PM from a member and you can do it with navplanner but I believe it is limited.
Navplanner is not sold anymore. There is also other program available. For my part I connect my HDS on a power-pack in the house
KingNeptune- I see the FAQ sheet that you saw and I believe that is older and duscontinued.

I have a quick one. I just picked up a touch 7 and a hotmaps premium 2010 chip. They said it was updateable for free. I went on the Navionics site and it wants 99.00 to update the card. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated Thanks
Free update is available within the 1st 2 months following you're purchase
I'll try again. Thanks
I don't think you can get a free update on a 2010 card
Well worthed to pay the $99 for the update
2010 is when the Freshest Data Updates started.
I don't think you can update that card, it is too small (I think it is 1 GB). Contact Navionics to exchange it for the 2 GB card.
A lot of data has been added to the map products since 2010.
A new purchase includes a year of Freshest Data Updates.
I purchased it 3 days ago. I don't want to spend an additional 100.00 on a 130.00 card. This was the newest Navionics card they had on hand.
I just tried it again. Charts and community edits appear to have downloaded successfully. I will try it on my touch screen to see if everything shows up.
Wanted to add that the card shows up as a 4GB card and has 3.3 GB left after the update. HMMMmm..
Ok, learning as I go. I updated Nautical charts and Community something but I am not allowed to update sonar charts. I think I will call in. I may be trying to do the impossible here.
Just called Navionics. The older map card that I have doesn't allow a person to update it. Bottom line.
The new cards require a card with about 12GB of memory, just an FYI. Thank you for the help.
You have your Navionics products mixed up with what they have.
The Navionics Hotmaps Premium edition does not have the Sonar Charts feature.
If you want that you need either the Hotmaps Platinum, Navionics+, or Navionics Update card
The Hotmaps Platinum card is 16 GB.
Kingpin - If you're interested in getting SonarCharts, I'd recommend looking into the Navionics Updates cards. You can still use your premium card and at the same time get all the functionality of Navionics +, including SonarCharts.
