I don’t use dye but have used the dye-marker type. The marker and scent bottle are usually kept in the cup holders between the seats.
I took a old dishwasher tablet box with lid, put styrofoam in it, cut out styrofoam to hold four bottles..
I normally put them in my passenger console glove box and let them spill all over my stuff
Mine is normally spilled all over the boat within an hour or two of opening
Scents, dyes, and line/reel spray go into a waterproof ammo box. I bought a few cheapos from Harbor Freight a while back and they work fine for this.
The dye on carpet isn't near as bad as scent. The oil in the scent will eat your carpet glue and carpet. I know for a fact!
I have a small Plano box with 6 individual long slots and I keep my spike it in it along with some Q-Tips.
