The manufacturer still gets paid, a dealer makes a sale and the promotional cost for dealer/manufacturer can be written off as advertising costs. Throw in the fact that many pros directly cause some boat sales as well and positively add to the bottom line and profits.
The "memo bill" is due on the old boat. So, he either has to pay for the boat (or finance it) and run it another year. Or, sell the boat and then get a new discounted rig to run the following season.Quote:

Other established pros have genuine endorsement contracts with a regular paycheque, but in laymen terms these are often closer to part time jobs at not often great pay rates compared to what you or I get paid.
