Re: Getting More Bow Lift on 86 189 (rchavis)
If you like the way the bravo 1 runs then i would run it , but if you rasie the motor some more it my help your rpms some more . Also was you by your self ? You probly lose some more rpms with two people in the boat and when its get hot outside another 200 rpms , not counting on the live wells and gas ? I would just run it to i could find a tempest to test ,then just sell the prop 's ?
Best of luck and get back with us on how its going when you raise the motor ? Learn something on ever diff. boat and set -up Have a good new year http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

Richard, I now have the engine at 4" below the Pad. Took it for a test run,,, hole shot still great.. notice a litlle less lift ,very slight. Rpms didn't change still around 5400. You are right that Gas, full livewell another person this setup is not going to work. I'm now looking for a 21 pitch tempest.. should it be 3 or 4 blade ??. V/R Bob

Seriously Bob you need to go to the props forum & ask Mark Croxton. Give him your boat(hullmodel), motor horse power & speed & wide open throttle rpm with speed being verified by gps & he or Mike Lohn(21XDC) will tell you exactly what you need to get the best out of your rig. Also see if you can find out the gear ratio of your motor just incase it's needed although they usually know the ratio. They will be very glad to steer youin the right direction. They know their stuff. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
