mark there is a central open tournament on ft gibson. the classic will be on grand in 2013 http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif of all the guys that will fish the opens from oklahoma 98% of them grew up fishing ft gibson. it will be a slugfest with all the out of towners trying to find tommys rock piles http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
the winter jackpots on gibson have been giving up 20+ strings, but grand has been 25 + almost 30 to win http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eek.gif
just because tommy out (jetted) almost all the other competitors on the river some got butt hurt http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif

Texoma was 2 years ago and its MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better than Lewisville in February
</td></tr></table>
Damn Chris I fished that one with you and even though we both got checks It was a stripper lake with bass few and far between. I'm never going to Texoma again, Lewisville either for that comparison. lol
Seems like there are way too many great fisheries in the central to bang your head in some of the places they pick. Especially back to back. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthdown.gif

you guys need to understand texoma is an excellent bass fishery w/avg. tourney weights over 20lbs. If you considered that bad, then hey, i understand. Honestly though, 20lbs is a good bag in my book, wherever you are in the country....okay maybe except cali and some of the south texas lakes http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif

Re: what's up with the BASS Central Opens (bassmaster658)
aight let me address a few q's....No I dont think it was made to give Biffle a classic spot. I do however feel that its a cold chance in hell he wont win or be so damn close its ridiculous. I know ya gotta beat the best and I know every lake is someones home lake but to me this is a bit different in that Tommy has guided and lived there for 400000 years. I am just saying that even good sticks can only stack up so far against 10000000k man hours on a lake. Even a rube can find the spots in that time.
I will dig for the picture of Biffles boat with the buoy line pushed in at least 20 feet and his outboard over it. Say what you want but I am friends with his co-angler from that day and he lives in Muskogee as well. Even he felt it was a bit out of line. Anyone that fished T-Rock last year can tell you even Bowes made a statement that alluded to him being misled. Like I said I didnt have a jet I didnt have a chance but I feel bad for those that were in the hunt that respected that line and one of my friends did mistake or not. There was a picture taken from overhead that showed this and it was all over the net.
Texoma is okay i cashed a check there I never said it was a bad lake I said it was better than Lewisville.
And lastly Lewisville may fish great sometimes; but conditions this time of year in general make it fish like crap. Last year wasnt hugely better and to be honest I think its very short sighted of BASS to go there at this time of year. Sure it makes for challenging fishing I dont disagree there; but it also makes a lucky bite huge. Not to mention that lake fished last year and this at about the size of a dixie cup.
Lastly I do love BASS but it saddens me the direction it has been going in. There is huge potential to grow the sport but with the way they handled the registrations and the violations of last year it just sours me to the trail. I know too many people that were told they were in with a co-angler link only to be told no they werent weeks later. I also know many that called repeatedly and were never informed where they were on the waiting list. This isnt a local tournament trail and they should have this information available to anglers. Some have to drive a bit ya know.
I am not whining over a bad year. God knows I sucked last season but to me there is very little logic to fishing a mediocre destination like Lewisville for such a prestigious trail.

yep, lets see em, everything i saw he was on the downstream side. aint no rule that says you cant throw over em</td></tr></table>
There is not a rule in Oklahoma, but B.A.S.S. has always told us that you treat any area off limits to boats as a brick wall. You can not throw past it per their rules.
