The day the meat hunters learn how to catch the good ones all year long we are really in trouble. Thankfully they will never put in the time or have the patience to do what it takes to catch good ones the rest of the year.

Well you can't fix stupid. Those who keep fish over 3 pounds to eat we not going to stop them. I wish it was a slot lake. Other thing is they started fishing forums to post reports if you want a honey hole all to yourself, Start digging in you back yard , make a pond and stock it. Then put up posted sign and hire a cop to guard it. Lets see I came on here to share a report. There has been a 11 pounder caught in there last week. I got a call of 3 sack all over 20 pounds caught in there sunday.( I'm sure I wasn't the only person who he called and told , or the only person to get a text of the 11 pounder.) Wow there is another report on the tank pond. I didn't know there was a code shared on this site. People who fish will talk and thats why they have forums. One More thing THESE FISH WHERE NO COOKED THEY WHERE RELEASED. SOME PEOPLE HAVE FORGOT FISHING IS FUN.

and where did you hear that there was an 11 caught? I live less than 3 miles in a straight line from the tank pond and usually something like that spreads like wildfire and I haven't heard chit.
oh.. and in case you didn't notice... there is another forum on the BBC for fishing reports... you may wanna post it there too so that the other half of the internet scouring guys can see it.

Thanks for reminding me why I started trout fishing again. Like I said earlier, we will never have a successful trophy fishery in South Louisiana! Everyone wants the next guy to put the 8 or 9 lb. bass back so that it will grow larger for possibly someone else to have a shot at catching her. There are about 8 or 9 realities that we cannot/will not over come.
Someone earlier mentioned Tournament fishing....catching the bass in the Cat, and taking them some where else to release, not a good idea to me. Also, if a large circuit like Media and some others want to conduct tournaments, they need to invest in a release boat. Nothing fancy, just something with a good size tank and good aeration. Instead of releasing all the bass at the launch, where the local guys pound them there for 2 weeks, take the bass back out to the lake and release them. The guys in Texas and California learned a while back that trophy bass should be a renewable resource for everyone to have a shot at. They really frown on people killing big bass.
