Last but not least my dad was on Werner Von Braun’s team as a telemetry engineer. We used to go to picnics at his lake house at Guntersville. I remember having a crush on one of his daughters. Dr. Von Braun was all business and a bit intimidating.
I never set out to meet celebrities or run into them. I was just fortunate enough to hang out in the kind of places they went to.
