I was going back thru the pics posted earlier and came upon this one from 3 years ago. BTO, you were going to be done with your mods once you got that merc monitor installed. How did that work out for you Roy?

Thanks ! I have a 54 qt cooler that slides in that space & ties down and extends the deck back , there are 3 rod holders on each side of the console and 4 rocket launchers on the back of the seat. Looked at "T" top but it took up floor space on each side of console and was afraid it would hamper back seat man casting if fishing got wild. The Talon is already an obstacle to deal with. Settled for a Bimini top that quick detaches...
I've had the same thoughts myself on the t-top. Casting interference, etc. And how effective is it really for shading, trolling with rods or holding rods in rough water, towing resistance in the wind, etc. I think you made the right call.
I'm still reluctant to give up a large front deck. I may get there eventually.
This is definitely a sweet ride.
Yep , the deck space was an issue , may still be. Ive had a Triton TR-21 new in 2000 and a 21X new in 07 . Sold the TR and sold the 21X to son.
Hope I don't regret the move but seemed to fit around better.
Splitting time now chasing bass with trips to Charleston & Everglades chasing snook, reds & tarpon. I think that the salt fish may win out. A crazy
snook can spool you pretty quik if you can keep him out of the mangroves.
I've caught 4 tarpon. All between 60 and 100lbs. Love em'!! And yep, snook and reds are a blast. Makes bass fishing seem like crappie fishing. Lol
Nice Boat. I would look for a good Merc OptiMax 75 and put it on there. Big difference in those two motors and you will get plenty of speed out of it. I think a 90 would be way to much motor for that boat. Still that boat sure was a nice boat when Triton brought it out.
