I just read on another forum that Autochart PC has an upgrade that enables importing files from Autochart Live ..... Can any other Autochart users verify that?

Upgrade or no cost upgrade?
I don't know .... Saw it over here ... http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/in...;topicseen#new
Yes it is true ----- No cost upgrade. Go to humminbird.com and log into your account. If you registered your Auto Chart PC you will be able to download the upgrade. You then will be able to import your Auto Chart Live info.
Phil
Oh man I was hoping for this, but it's only on the Onix tho :(
- Image (IMG) Layer Creation (PRO VERSION ONLY) – Image (IMG) Layers (.png, .bmp, jpeg) can now be imported along with a .kml calibration file and exported to a ZeroLine card for display on ONIX units.
Thanks Phil, I replied over @ SIsoft but loaded this page and saw your post.... lol !
That's sweet - I don't use my laptop much B/C it's got a bunch of work stuff on it ( ) ....
So... I have been patiently collecting sonar recordings when I do get on waters I want better mapping; this board is dying and I don't relish the thought of building another one and trying to remember all I want scraped off this one, never registered or installed on this hunk 0' junk.
So I'm glad I sat on my thumb for a while!
Being able to mix & match sounds cool to me!
:thumb up2:
The Getting Started guide seems to contradict that Onix units reference above as per:
IMG layer. (Pro version only)
- Adapt color encoding to units with to low color resolutions Check to adapt color encoding in IMG layers to units with limited color resolution (e.g. 300/500/600/Helix5/Helix7).
Note 2: The different lines of Humminbird units have different color support. You can adapt the encoding to suit your unit, please see Lakemaster map data settings.
I think I will give this a test run tomorrow. Hopefully it will work on the other units, I have a 999. I have a decent number of high quality georeferenced images of my river they I have ALWAYS been wanting on the graph.
If the data will import into Autochart PC ..... I would think the resulting map could be used for anything......are the Onix Autochart Live and Helix Autochart live in different formats?
I have tested the IMG layer on Core and Helix and both work.
Thanks Bruce!

Looking FWD to mapping some waters that have crummy maps.
Trying to use my Autochart live data on Autochart PC. I downloaded and ran the update off of My Hummingbird account in order to update my Autochart PC. When I go to either Open or Import on the PC, and then go to my SD card it doesn't show any files. However, when I open the SD card (ZeroLine Card) on my computer it shows 2 folders: LKMaster & ACdata, the data folder does have a bunch of acu files in it but none of them show up when I am using Autochart PC.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

Autochart Pro (Version 2016.1)
Release Date: 03/30/2016
Description:
New Features:
- Import/Export of AutoChart Live data – AutoChart Live data can now be imported or exported from AutoChart PC. This means that AutoChart Live data recorded on HELIX, ONIX, or ION can be imported into AutoChart PC. It also means that any file type that can be imported into AutoChart PC can now be exported as AutoChart Live data. For example, a .SON file can be imported into AutoChart PC and then exported as AutoChart Live data.
- Additional file format import support – The following additional file types can now be imported:
- Humminbird sonar logs (.dat)
- Humminbird sonar logs (.son)
- Humminbird tracks (.ht)
- AutoChart Live Files (.acu)
- DrDepth Files (.drd)
- Google Earth (.kml)
- GPS eXchange format (.gpx)
- Data/text files (.txt)
- CSV files (.csv)
- ESRI shape files (.shp)
- NMEA 0183 log (.log)
- eXtended Triton Formal XTF (.xtf)
- Bottom Hardness Layer Creation – A bottom hardness layer can now be created using sonar data. This layer can be exported to a Zeroline card and displayed as a Baselayer or Overlay on HELIX and ONIX units. •
- Deep Water Mode for custom LakeMaster maps – This new feature adjusts the spacing of the contour lines on the generated map to be better suited for displaying deep water bathymetry.
- Image (IMG) Layer Creation (PRO VERSION ONLY) – Image (IMG) Layers (.png, .bmp, jpeg) can now be imported along with a .kml calibration file and exported to a ZeroLine card for display on HELIX and ONIX units.
- SonarLab (PRO VERSION ONLY) – Sonar files can now be opened directly alongside a mini-map and edited or corrected before being used to create bathymetry, AutoChart Live, Lakemaster, or overlay data.
General Fixes:
- Fixed and/or updated several translation issues.
- Updated the QuickStart guide with new information.
- Fixed an issue where Live Draw was saving files as Dr. Depth files instead of AutoChart PC files.
So I just went to the lake for the first time with my helix 10 hdsi gps. I started auto chart live and recorded for about an hour of one of my spots. I didn't save the tracks that I made before I turned the helix off. Did I loose all my data that I recorded?
shouldnt need to save tracks to have data stored...
as long as AC LIVE was turned ON, it will save to memory
Ok I got home and checked the helix and it showed red lines where I had recorded and no depth lines. Then I did something and all I have is a bunch of little dots where I had recorded my tracks know.
