What is volts at that 5000 rpm? If you have a fully charged good battery even at idle should read over 13volts your are reading 12 something telling me it’s battery. I had same issue after a long day of fishing and not running with all graphs and live well on. Boat did same thing you are describing.
I dropped her off at the shop yesterday. But, from looking back over my pictures, it looks like the volts were 14v at 5000+rpms, but when the motor was off, the battery read 12.5v. Did your smart gauges show "OK" for "Bat, TMP, PSI". i am mind blown on what the issue is, as i have been racking my brain on what it could be. So far, i am about $395 + whatever this next shop bill is, deep into this. I paid more to get rid of the frustration.

Update: I spoke with the shop yesterday. They essentially told me they tested everything, and everything came back good. They recommended i try another prop, as i have the a fury 24P now. I will update later with the information. Anyone know how much a conversion to a 2019 Mercury 250 Pro XS 4-Stroke would cost? and how much a used 2016 Mercury 250 Pro XS with 300hrs would sell for?
I would follow the advice of post #46...…..

Make sure the exhaust tuner not plugged, no broken castings, cracks, or pieces of castings in the gearcase/exhaust.
