Another club educate question

Hey Bassngolfer, my post was to the ORIGINAL POSTER telling him to let it go and just go fishing, don't sweat the small stuff. Just think how much more satisfying it would be to win a tournament and not have to call anybody to do it.

Well Mr. Chicago, I don't care if someone uses a cell phone or not. I don't ever win anything, just enjoy the comraderie. As far as the insurance requirements in the club bylaws, that doesn't protect anyone from anything. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif

You make a good point, it would probably bother me a little but I would get over it pretty quick. If somebody sees a big bass on the bed and calls their buddy to catch it for em they are idiots in the first place. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif

You know, I only brought that up because of a past experience...and in today's world, it probably happens more than you know. Having no concern about it isn't in my makeup. I've organized events and will do more in the future. I guess I'm just flabbergasted that so many here say they could care less when I've seen just how "little" they REALLY care about rules violations (by others)...

In my attempt to offer my take on all this, I can't help but wonder why folks like you "don't care". I understand all the "I'm just out here for fun" comments...though I will say I don't really believe them as much as I read them (sorry).

So, tell me (if you care to) why you "don't care" whether or not entrants in a tournament you paid to fish in, use a phone to share on the water information?...I know you are just there for fun, but...do you not have any opinion on it?

If I were any more relaxed, I'd be asleep and I'm not taking anything any more serious than it deserves. Thanks for the concern though.

If you offer a take on a subject and someone takes exception to it, then responds in a manner that needs further responding to...what do you do?

BG, I honestly don't care if others want to use the phone or not. Those kind of guys waste more time and energy than what would be gained in advantage.

As for the insurance issue, I believe the requirement is in the bylaws more to protect club officers than participants. The problem with it being there, is that unless it is stricltly enforced, it may put the officers at more risk.

We had the same phone call problem last year in our club and of course it came from a team that was in the back of the field all of the time.. Its not in the rules and as was stated before the guy still has to catch the fish http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
