I use a Falcon LowRider 4-166 (6'6") medium/fast with a Revo SX 6.4:1 and 10lb flouro. If I'm trying to cover more water I'll throw it on my trap rod which is a 7'6" Bucoo with a Revo SX 7:1 so I can launch it.

Falcon Cara Composite Cranker or Cara CC-5-17. Depends on Cover. Reel is a Chronarch 200 E6 or E5.
Abu Garcia Veritas Winch 7' M - A good length that allows long casts or short accurate casts, yet gives enough rod to fight the fish. The moderate action is a must when fishing anything with treble hooks.
Abu Garcia Revo STX 6.4:1 - The faster 6.4:1 is a good choice, 1. Because there isn't usually a lot of torque with the squarebills, and 2. Squarebills are usually fished pretty quickly to force reaction bites.
Spiderwire Ultracast Fluoro 15lb. - Fluorocarbon in tougher, it sinks, and is sensitive - important with squarebills because you can feel it hitting and deflecting off cover. When you feel it bounce into something, that's a great time to pause your retrieve and draw a strike. Squarebills are usually used in cover heavy enough to warrant the 15lb. line.

I vary my rod action by the size of squarebill that I'm throwing. Both are made by Denali.
For 1.5 sized squarebills, I go with the 7' medium action Jadewood Crankbait rod. For the 2.5 models, I go with the same size rod and class but use a med/hvy.
For reels, I like the BPS Pro Qualifier in a 6.3:1 ratio and 12-17 pound floro.
I also use the same 2.5 set up on 1/2 ounce or bigger traps.
