Re: NoAl Chapter - Sign up here to fish Upper Bear on February 27th (AveryF)
Avery, give you one guess where I'm at. It's 10:41 am on a beautiful Sunday morning, it's the same place I'll be next Saturday. Me and mama have talked it over and decided to stop (trying) to fish on Saturdays much less a club tx. If we are off we are so tired and wore out we cant enjoy it. Found out we will be casting pipe every other Saturday and that puts me on 7 days that week. Our inventory count for this week (Friday) has been canceled. Don't know about the rally, hope we can make that one. The big dog is comimg down for a plant wide meeting Tuesday and Wednesday and we don't know what is going to come out of that. No one has a clue what it is about. So i guess you will have to take someone else's money for a while. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif

Gee, Mike, that totally sucks but, believe me, I understand. Just don't forget about us when you start working more manageable hours!
Re: NoAl Chapter - Sign up here to fish Upper Bear on February 27th (AveryF)
Avery, Alan and I would like to signup if someone could get our permits. We would not have a clue how to find one that early on tournament day.

Sounds good, Harry. I'm pretty sure Tommy got them for us last year but I might be able to get them at Gray's Tackle in Sheffield. I'll check with them tomorrow.

Thanks Avery, hope its not to much trouble.

No problem, Harry. Like I really need a reason to go to Gray's! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
I still need your and Alan's address and date of birth. I sent you an IM but I'm guessing you have your IMs turned off. Can you email that info to me at averyfa@bellsouth.net?
Re: NoAl Chapter - Sign up here to fish Upper Bear on February 27th (AveryF)
Ive been out of town last few days , Dad had a kidney removed friday. had to come back to work today though. just let me know if I can help with the permits, they ussually just ask the name and date to be fished. Can't beleive I haven't even had time to prefish my home lake.
Re: NoAl Chapter - Sign up here to fish Upper Bear on February 27th (TeamTar)
Sorry to hear about your dad. Hope he's doing well and will be back on his feet soon! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/praying.gif
Thanks for the offer to help with the permits. I saw where they had the address and date of birth on my yearly permit and just figured they needed it for the day passes, too.
Re: NoAl Chapter - Sign up here to fish Upper Bear on February 27th (AveryF)
It may, I can,t remember what was on the dailey, seems like they may have asked the town and I told them cullman. Dads doing well , I may get to bring him home today or tomorrow.
Re: NoAl Chapter - Sign up here to fish Upper Bear on February 27th (TeamTar)
I just got back from Gray's Tackle and it turns out that they need the address but not the date of birth. She went ahead and sold them to me but I need to call them with Harry and Alan's addresses to keep their records straight.
Re: NoAl Chapter - Sign up here to fish Upper Bear on February 27th (AveryF)

I'm not real sure I'll be able to bring much to the scales but I hope somebody wacks 'em! Harry and Alan seen to be the most likely candidates since they always seem to do well no matter where we fish. Kind of like KVD in that regard! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
I'm afraid I can't help you out much on Wilson since I haven't fished it for probably six weeks or so. I got out for a couple of hours on Sunday afternoon just to look around and run the boat for a while and the water's still awfully friggin' COLD. I didn't look around very much beyond Shoal Creek and part of the adjacent main lake but it was still around 42 or 43 degrees for the most part. I'm afraid the cold temps predicted for the next couple of days isn't going to help matters much, either. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif
Re: NoAl Chapter - Sign up here to fish Upper Bear on February 27th (AveryF)
I know , Harry and Alan are always a threat to bring in a big bag. But, don't let Tommy sneak up on ya. He knows that lake so well, he doesn't have to pre-fish it. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/stirthepot.gif
Re: NoAl Chapter - Sign up here to fish Upper Bear on February 27th (Terryfd42)

Re: NoAl Chapter - Sign up here to fish Upper Bear on February 27th (AveryF)
I want my permit to start at daylight (2 a.m. in the winter).
Looking forward to it. It has been a while since I've been fishing anywhere and years since I've been to Upper Bear. So Avery, can you spot me a few pounds (10) to make it fair?
Has anyone heard if the ramp will be crowded with other tournaments?
Alan
Re: NoAl Chapter - Sign up here to fish Uppe ... (CrankinStein)
I havent heard of one , but I havent been over there in about 3 months. it should be getting time for the toads to be caught, but this up coming cold front may stop that.
Re: NoAl Chapter - Sign up here to fish Uppe ... (TeamTar)
As far as i know, the only other tournament sat. at upper bear is the regular saturday tx that is held by locals.

And if you want to get your feelings hurt, just check out their weigh in. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/embarassed.gif
We really struggled the last spring when we fished there and were tickled pink that we were able to bring in a small limit. Those guys smoked 'em and nearly all of these guys were bringing in 16 to 18 pound sacks. I don't know what won it but it had to be well over 20 pounds. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif
