My "bug out pack" contains a couple of high power rifles, ammo, and a list of my neighbors that stockpiled food and water... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Never really thought about any of that but the beans and white rice staying good for ten years in plastic containers.. Well thats cheap enough not to do it..
I bought a couple of hundred senkos off EBAY last year. That should about do it.

Haha, saw that one........some of the people are downright nuts. I'm all for being prepared but harding 50k lbs of food in a house made of shipping containers is crazy.
Too busy living the good life to worry about doom & gloom!!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif
I watched the first episode on demand. The first guy with the swimming pool eco system is goin a lil overboard IMO. AND the fact that he's prepping for a Solar Flare
The others were somewhat in line with what I'm working on.
The first thing in my plan is Ammo. I have a 9mm, .38, .22 bolt action, and a 12ga
500 rounds 9mm
400 rounds .38
1000 rounds .22
200 rounds 12ga
I have my bug-in plan.
I'm building my bug-out bag and plan.
I finally got the wife on board with the whole thing.
I think my USAF survival training will help me out a lot.
I don't have any type of bug out plan;but I would feel naked if I only had 2100 rounds of ammo.I keep more 45 than that and 22 and 9mm and .223 .I may starve to death;but I won't run out of ammo! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

I got a guided tour through an underground shelter I guess you would call it. It consists of about 8 full sized Railroad cars cut and welded end to end and across in a T! There were bunk cars and food storage cars and full to the brim with canned and dehydrated food. Supposed to be enough for 50+ people! There was a food prep kitchen with a commercial gas grill and a vetilation system for the whole thing. There was also one car that was a movie theater with 5k movies!! I was'nt invited to see the arsenal but was told that it was there. All of it buried underground and the only access to the shelter was through a one holer outhouse, at least it was setup to look like an outhouse! The whole thing gave me the creeps and I could not wait to get back above ground.
I remember the Cuban Missle Crisis and remember being in the 5th grade and drawing up my idea's of a Bomb Shelter and today I am glad that we never had to live through the real thing. I don't have any plans to stick around if it comes to that. Been here 60 yrs now and if it came to that kind of existence I would rather be gone!
