Just raised the motor 1/4 inch tonight and am going to test it in a day or two. I'm told a 1/4 inch will make a difference, but any idea what I should be expecting? I want to get it to run at 58-59 wide open if I can maintain water pressure.
23M prop, Which should be fine. I currently have little to no rooster tail to speak of at wide open, so I know it wasn't set up right when I got it.</td></tr></table>
Keep raising it until you lose mph and or your water press gets too low

After measuring to the pad, and to the shaft and subtracting, I was running 5" below pad. I raised an inch last night and will be testing today.

Re: RPMS on 150 VMAX (ChrisH)
raised another 1/2 inch. Really didn't gain anything. If I trim it all the way up I don't even think the boat is touching the water honestly and I can feel the sides of the pad smacking the water because it gets squirly. Still getting 58-59mpg maybe 5500rpms. still maintaining 15-18psi.
I think I'm going to have to move down from a 23 to a 22-21.
Just changed the plugs last night also. none of the original plugs looked very dirty.
Any idea? As you can see below, I really have nowhere to go.
