Yep, the rules have changed on boat loans for alot of folks.
Re: Black. Kitty. May be sold (Rebel1)
What changed on boat loans besides the loan values http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif
Re: Black. Kitty. May be sold (jigginjeff)
The length of the loans, amount financed, and the credit score required to get the loan. 2-3 years ago, alomost anyone could get a boat loan on about any rig, not now.
Re: Black. Kitty. May be sold (Rebel1)
http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif With the bailouts everything I read says they are still loaning the same sine the initial change a few yrs ago. I thought y'all were talkin about something more recent.
Re: Black. Kitty. May be sold (jigginjeff)
That's why all the dealers are hurting cause only 1 out of 4 can get approved are afford down payments now days
Re: Black. Kitty. May be sold (DOUGMCGEEFTD)
No chit! I was in Thomas Marine yesterday having a conservation with the guy in the counter. He said the exact same thing you said.
Re: Black. Kitty. May be sold (Bgscott)
I think alot of people got smart! And decided to find a good Used Deal, rather than paying the equivilent of a House Note on a Boat. Warranty is your only friend on a new ride. Take you Black Cat for instance, That thing is in like new condition...... What would it cost brand new?

Re: Black. Kitty. May be sold (DOUGMCGEEFTD)
Problem is they want finance as long on used usually so notes still high and slot of places requiring 20-30 o/o down on them now even with good credit

Bailouts only paid the bonus' for the higher ups...They shut down loaning money and pocketed the proceeds that were given for loans http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif
I say we ought to send the IRS to seize their assets like they do to the american public...They misrepresented the funds...So take their chit Foreclose for tax assessment http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

Gosh damn. Ive got great credit and very little debt so I admit the other was news to me but if you need that much down with good credit, your banking at the wrong place! I have felt with a few in the last couple yrs and that wasnt even close.
Re: Black. Kitty. May be sold (jigginjeff)
Doesn't look good for him! He don't have the 7500 down payment. He is calling others but from what his c/u told me it's not likley to happen. They did tell me I was selling the boat 5k under book value. Oh well we'll see what happens but either way it's all good cause it's shiney runs good and paid for! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif the next might not be one of the three. But I did have another call on it today
Re: Black. Kitty. May be sold (DOUGMCGEEFTD)
Damn kinda seems like if it's 5k below book value and he's got decent credit then 10% down would be sufficient enough for the bank? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif
Re: Black. Kitty. May be sold (DOUGMCGEEFTD)
Think its time for someone to get an EYRA...im dying to see one on the water

Re: Black. Kitty. May be sold (cajunsmitty)
