BRL LOG OF YESTERDAY'S T
YESTERDAY'S ADVENTURE:
BLACK RIVER LAKE was as hot as predicted after about 10am when the breeze quit...
I ran to the general main lake area (where the T was won on cranks early)...for some reason they wanted nothing I offered from 5:55am on...so at 7am I hauled freight for bank #2 far away...messed around there a bit and had a jig thump in 9 feet off a pile...my vicious hookset was too soon, o-crapola, on a day like this a guy could zip so this was painful...jig fish are usually solid keepers...then I pitched it back a few times and worked it...
another thump, let her move off...bang, Kistler winch in da boat...I am on the board for 86 points...and sooo glad! Figured a limit like that would push 8 pounds so started thinking maybe this is where to stay a long while...
BBC guy who knows me from back when shows and tells me he was catching 3 pounders on this bank on topwater out...now he gets in my head so I do some of that too...a waste of time of course.
Decision time...its about 8:30am...do I run all my spots and pitch-crank 100 yards here and there or do I stay in this spot that will be shady another hour or so with 4 nice brushpiles to work???
Well, I stayed for just 2 more bass...and stayed and stayed...MY BAD.
When I eased off just once for a 30 minute break a percher motored in and parked over the main 2 brushpiles! His troll hanging over one and engine over the other. That should have told me to leave.
Percher left in 30 minutes or so but by then it was almost 11am so I started running but just too late I guess...and never ran my best dropoff cranking bank at all...MY BAD #2...
on the positive side I got good club points for a suckbutt day guessing wrong.
Next is Louie Louie with DBC on the 26th.
=====
Sideimager due back Wednesday...and needed bad to easily spot deeper cover/bass on all these low lakes.
1st time to fish in water that started at 92 and went to 95.9...unreal for June, just off the wall unreal.

RAIN CHANGE
Whole game could change if Alex or any tropical storm starts pushing rain into La....we get 6-8 inches of rain and its game on for 2-3 weeks!!!
Otherwise...expect Ts similar to Louie/BRL for July-August.
The only other break is if Minorca can get right for a few T's this summer AND clubs pick it. Deeper cooler water with tons of cover under it mile after mile...that buzz is gonna do some talking ear

Nick culled out a bigger fish by mistake...must be da heat!
