Not sure what game you watched, but most all of UofL's fouls were fouls. Some of them, the refs should have let them play through, on both sides. UofL had to play ugly. Louisville's only chance was to try to beat the hell out of UK and make it as physical as possible. If anything, the refs called a horrible game both ways. I think there were bad calls on both sides.
UK couldn't have got more free throws because UofL fouled more. That would be rediculous. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eyes.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eyes.gif

I think there were bad calls on both sides, i agree with that. but uk in the bonus in the first 5 minutes of the game come on. i guess that is normal in rape arena http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/glasses.gif
There was no reason for the game to have been called the way it was. it is a rivalry game, but there is not a history of bad blood or unsportsmanlike conduct between the teams. There should never have been that many fouls called, and neither technical was justified. The refs ruined what could have been a great game. Keeping both of these teams below 70 points? Give me a break. The only good thing about this game was the Cats won.
I agree that the majority of the fouls called on the Cards were justified. As mentioned, it was their game plan to be physical and keep UK well below their usual 80+ points a game. Cards defense did what they needed to do for them to win the game. UK's defensive game plan shut them down. UofL had very few good looks and had trouble sinking challenged shots. The three ball was guarded very well and was all UK needed to do to limit the chances of a Cards win. The free throws were the difference in the game for sure with field goal percentages for both teams being so low. However, like I said earlier, UofL had to foul in order to keep it close so they shot theirselves in the foot. It's good to see college players make foul shots when they need to as UK did. Props to them as hard as that is to swallow. Good luck the rest of the season, I'm looking forward to Big East play with a lot of our players getting close to healthy enough to play. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
I think UL is still trying to hit an open shot. I watched the game with UL and UK fans and the only thing the UL fans were interested in was covering the spread.
As a UL fan, you totally have to admit that UK is on top now, no discussion about it. I know that UL will go on to have a good season and this game means nothing in the big picture. Best part about the weekend is UL got a Florida transfer at WR.
Ky still has a whol;e lot of room for improvement but they may have found a true leader who they have not had so far this year, :The KID" MAY BE THE DIFFERENCE for the rest of the year and how far they will go. Jones being healthy again will help out a lot also, noticed he had 11 rebounds, that sore left hand should be back to normal in a few days. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Kidd is awesome and by far the leader on that team. Jones still has a lot of improvement to go before he is NBA ready. Even with a sore hand you can see the differences in players that really want to make a difference and the way he plays. He still doesn't give it his all when he is out there.
I think Davis and Kidd put more heart and soul into everygame than the rest of the team combined.
It was an ugly win but they count just as much as a pretty one!!! If I was Coach Cal...I would DEFINATELY check Miller and Teague to see if they are color-blind!!!!!!
I've said it all year that Teague is a liability on the floor. I'm not sure what Millers deal is but he better step it up of after this year his basketball days are over.
