Scott, its as good as i have ever seen Ky Lake right now with the numbers of keepers that we are catching. I went Sat for a while and caught the dog s$%# out of them any where from 10 to 25 foot deep. The last count was like 22 keepers and a few 10 to 14 inch fish which is good to see.
I dont fish draw tournaments any more, havent since i won our BFL division back in 1996. Me and my partner Randy Stone just fish buddy tournaments and i really enjoy doing that. I run the boat engine and let him run the T.M. while i stand up on the back and just enjoy the fishing. Dave, how do ya like that Etec so far? Isnt it unreal how smooth it runs and shifts, but you better take extras oil with ya for 10 hours because she loves the oil and gas during break in dont ya know.
It does like the gas and oil on this break in period but it definitely quiet and smooth. Sounds more like an inboard than an outboard.
After you get the 10 hours on her you will see a lot better milage out of you gas and oil. I love my Etec, it is an awsome engine. You can actually care on an conversation with some one while running down the lake.

Did seem like there were at least some fish on every drop.
They are letting some water threw, the water has droped about 1 1/2 foot in the last two weeks and the fish are turned on.
Guess they are done pulling water..they did not pull crap today....still had some nice fish but they were not on fire.
Buddy went out this sfternoon about 4:00 and caught one that weighed about 8 pounds Dave, he told me the current was so swift he had to put on a 3/4 ounce jig to get it to stay, again that was late this afternoon. An eight pound fish this time of the year is a big o fish dont ya know. The guy was Andy Hodges, he won the Stren series here while back.
I think the water they are pulling is late in the afternoon, we fished below the dam and saw an increase in current late in the afternoon.
May be late in the afternoon but they were not pulling it before 3:00...not on Ky. Yes, I know Andy...he took a number of guide trips with me a couple of years back...nice guy.
Hell, an 8 pound fish is a big fish anytime, anywhere..... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
