Good looking boat and mods http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
I had the same tracker boat and didn't like it. Went back to glass after using for 1 season. They look very nice but the quality isn't there. Its too bad because they're nice looking rigs.
Hey man, I'm jealous. I love the center seat. I'm planing on doing the same thing with the same color gray. Could you send me some pointers on how you made it. Thanks a lot.
Swampninja, there are at least two 7.5' rods in there and three 7 footers.
jtracc, maybe used to be that way; but the fit, finish and overall construction on my boat is exceptional. maybe it's not an Xpress or Triton, but it's one hell of a boat for the money I paid.
Like I said Its a good lookng boat and I wished they used better material. So if thats the case on the new models then perfect.
NICE SET UP,WHERE DID YOU GET THE MIRROR? http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
I finally finished the next phase of my upgrades. Installation of 4" jackplate, installation of Smartcraft System Monitor, and props tested. Ended up with a 21P Trophy Plus. Got her up to 41mph with full load. I put the Smartcraft in the speedometer location since I get speed off my GPS anyway. I also had to trim a bit off the front of the steering trim tab.

I was at kind of a loss on how to install the smartcraft harness. Ended up with a fairly easy fit. The cable plugs into that yellow-ended connector you see at top of engine pic. I ran the cable down and around engine and out through the same exit as the throttle cable. I then removed the aluminum ledge along right side of boat behind drivers seat and also loosend the panel that holds the throttle. Ran the cable (blue) right through to the gauge.

PS: Note "Psycho", my QA specialist checking over my work.
What is your water pressure and rpm at your highest speed?
Modified by Hydrasports196 at 1:53 PM 10/30/2011
It's around13. Seems to stay there no matter what. The prop will cavitate(slip) before water pressure drops. I'm still experimenting. Still not happy with rpm, which is around 5200-5300. Going to raise the motor another 1/2" and see what happens.
PS: For anyone interested I'm not sure the Smartcraft Monitor is a cost effective option. Could have just installed a water pressure gauge for about 1/4 the cost of the Monitor. But, what the heck, I wanted engine time, so why not go all the way. The stock speedometer is worthless anyway.
Thanks, Your Smart Craft is different from my Mercmonitor, I wouldn't take any analog gauge over mine....
I am using a 18 p trophy plus at 5600 and 38.00 mph at 4.75 and 13 psi but you have 3"more setback when you include the builtin 4 inches of your boat.

I have finished testing for the optimum setup on my boat. It is as follows:
4" jackplate, engine 3.25" below lowest spot on hull. The prop is a Trophy Plus 21P, 5400 rpm and 42mph. One person, half tank of gas (10-11 gals) and all fishing gear.
I also am waiting for the Baystar hydraulic steering to come for my next upgrade.
wow
I am just curious what size of batteries did you put in for your trolling motor. I am fixing to install a MG Pro 82lb in my Pro Team 190. Just trying to figure out whats the biggest batteries I can get in there. Thanks.

Did you try any higher pitched props?
Nice boat, and nice upgrades. It's funny I've been hearing lately that the Tracker's have a pretty nice rough water ride too, which is something I've heard was a negative in the past.
Also, I owned a pro guide V16 deep V boat, and that thing was built like a tank. People assume Tracker isn't built well, but that isn't the case at all.
you Should drop down 4 pitches on your prop and see what happens. Rev limiter is 5750 so you are a good bit lower than where you want to be. You'ld probably pick up 3-5mph too
Nice upgrades! Very impressive! I have the same exact boat, how did you make room to fit a 3rd battery?
Clean ride
