Mid Lake temps 59-61f

Put in St Park ramp, if they lower the lake any more this ramp will not be usable unless they dredge the rock that has collected at its base. I will try another ramp next time.
I did manage 3 on Saturday morning before noon 1 being a largemouth, had a few more bites and a good one that come un-buttoned while it was still deep. Then I had 8 smallmouth Sunday morning by 11am. All fish in 15-25' of water on a jig. No fish this weekend over 21". All of my fish were 16-19" with one old battered smallie coming in at 20"... none of them picture worthy but defintiely fun to catch. Seemed like if I caught one the others would follow it to the boat and spook. Even tried coming back later to see if they would settle down but my guess is they are roming a few fish at a time and were long gone.

Wish I had a few more days so I could find the better class of fish.

Fish are hitting jigs in 20-30' on main and secondary points and some scattered on the deep shale banks. Float n' fly working in the same areas and back in the creeks.

My Son and I launched out of the state park ramp at 6:30 AM...fished until 4 PM. Caught one smallie on a spinner bait....3 more smallies on Sworming Hornet/Berkley Realistix minnow combo (including a nice 4lb fish). All fish caught in pockets off main lake near the mouth of Illwill Creek. Water temp hit 70 in places....67 most of the areas we fished. Water slightly stained in the creeks.

Water temp today high 30's, No luck on Float n Fly. windy at times.

Went to the lake last weekend and the water had nice color to it. The water was about 48 degress out on the main lake. The water all the way up to 55 in the creeks. We cought sevral Kentuckys and 4 or 5 large mouths the biggest being 5.5 pounds.

Heading to Dale Hollow for our anual house baot excursion in about 3 weeks and I'm pulling the Stratos down with me, any pointers for bass and cats this time of year??

Any updates? I'm going Friday just because its going to be 60 in February!!

Just got back from a 3 day trip stayed in Wolf River mostly water was 64 and pretty clear for this time of the year. fish where shallow on beds spawing, most of our fish came on Zoom craws near wood 12-15lb. bag. Had some buddys that ran to Obey River and wore them out 20lb. bags but spent $$$ on gas.
