In windy conditions you can also Drop shot rig it
using a 1/16th or 1/8 weitght below the worm this allows for wacky rigging in windy conditions. Plus you can let it hit bottom and shake it there with this rig as well.

Thanks everyone. A lot of good ideas for a guy new to the techique. I tried it at Lake Fairfield a little bit but with no luck. Probably using the wrong color, I was using the Yamto white senko and found out later green was the color of the weekend and I gave up on the Whacky thing. I tried a little drop shotting too, but no luck. I'll keep trying.
Thanks for all the advice.
Ever caught a Redfish in fresh water?? Say about 7 lbs. 10 ounces like this one?? LOL

Nice red! We catch em here all the time, just not always that big.
I use the Flicka Shake weedless 1/16oz head for wacky rig.
Another tip I heard at a fish show was to use a McDonalds straw and cut it into small 1/4" sections and slide it over your worm and pierce the worm in the center of the worm(and straw) instead of using an o-ring. He said they are cheaper than o-rings and give it a white and red color(head) to focus on.
