10 casting - 3 spinning. casting mainly duplicates. 4-6 on the deck
Re: how many rods do you carry in the boat (lbkbassin)
I keep way to many to even mention, but when I first started lake fishing, a guy I use to work with who was the best bass fisherman I've ever seen only kept 2-3 rods in the boat. He C-rigged all year until the water got cold and then he fished a speed shad until the water warmed back up. He kept it simple, and always, always caught a nice stringer every time I went out with him.
Re: how many rods do you carry in the boat (22bassmaster)
I think about 10 or 11 bait casters and 3 spinning rods.

I'm sure I could cram more in, but I've found I don't like the clutter. I've got it narrowed down to a speed rod, c-rig, worm/jig, cranking, flippin and one spinning rod for light stuff. They may all be on the deck or just one. Here's the fun part. When the kids are in the boat, there's an extra five rods. Each one has an UL and heavier spincast rod and I carry my UL spin with me.

Im 19 and in college so Im pretty much poor. I only own three rods and one of them is a saltwater rod so I make do with what I have. I have one light and one medium action rod both with spinning reels.
