My reasoning was a process driven by different circumstances that steered me that way. I didn't set out to do this.
I initially had 4 Helix 12s and a Solix 12. At that time, my Solix was the odd man out, then ML2 came out and I was relieved I could jump in with my Solix at minimal cost. I started the process of moving graphs around and realized it was going to be another major project so why not just go all Solix. I ordered four more since the price was dropping and I didn't want to be stuck paying way more for the newer stuff.
Well I received 2 because the store sold me 4 but ran out of stock. Anyway, When that happened I ordered one Apex because I was wondering about the hype and wanted to know how good it was, and if the ML2 would be that much better on a 13 inch screen with HD. I was also playing stuff out in my mind and decided I missed my preset buttons from Helix on my console unit. That's when I ordered the Xplore. Couldn't be happier with this setup, If I had to start over I would build the same system, as the Solix Gen3's are very good at what they do. And the Apex and Xplore have unique features that allowed for easier implentation of what I wanted in my end game.
But like I've said earlier, glad it all turned out well, but not the ideal way, to change that much all at once.
In the end, anyone would be happy with an all Solix system. The rest was just circumstances lining up at the time.
