Everything is up and running I got a lot of new data to look at
Not sure I like knowing how many hours I have on the motor LOL
I assume I need sensors for some of the stuff that's not showing Trim, fuel and water pressure
But I have what I was really wanting "Motor Temp" as I plan to let it warm up before throttling up from now on
I have a 09 175 HPDI. For trim, there are 2 pink wires in the bottom of the cowling to connect, IDK if yours will have these.
Does yours show fuel flow? If so, you will need a storage device, it may be called something else now. It stores your fuel tank capacity and fuel burned. If it doesn't show fuel flow, they used to have a fuel flow sensor that installed in fuel line, and it had memory. Not sure if that's available anymore.
For water pressure, you will have to get a pressure sensor and install it in your WP line.
I believe it does have the pink wires I did see 2 pig tails next to the NMEA plug when I was in there and I may try that but I have an analog trim gauge already so that’s not a priority
When you ask about fuel flow I’m assuming you mean the readouts and I believe it does it has a fuel economy readout as well but I didn’t notice if it was working
I wouldn’t mind getting that working just to see what speed, trim and setup that would get me the best fuel economy
But I’m not sure what you are referring too when you say I need a "storage device"
As for water pressure again I have an analog gauge for that as well so not a priority
If you connect the two single pink wires, so as to get engine trim information on the digital data line, you will need to disconnect the analog trim gauge.
The storage device keeps track of fuel flow and usage, it is now called a Fuel Data Manager. Your motor may supply fuel usage info, the data manager does all of the math to store fuel usage, fuel remaining, etc. I can't remember the exact steps, but when you add fuel, if you filled the tank then you enter refill, if a partial fill then you add the gallons.
Is this compatible to hooking up a new SHO to Hummingbird Helix units?
Just have to ask about mine please. It's a 2005 HPDI VZ225. Really hoping to get RPM's reading. I have the white plug on motor. I ran the lowrance cable from the white plug on the motor to
the back of the at console Lowrance HDS 9 unit's NMEA 2000 port. I don't get anything on the data page, but maybe did get volts not sure.?? Did I miss something? Thanks.

I see the diagram now..... My boats wires leading to the back of HDS unit reads NMEA 2000 power. ? Thats why I didn't use a backbone. ?

Thanks.
You need to buy this
https://www.lowrance.com/lowrance/ty...-cstarter-kit/
Then you need to set it up like this

Oh ok thanks.
Now I have the nmea 2000 network hooked up and the HDS Data page shows no change, with just the SOG highlighted, same as before being hooked up, as seen in pix. Then I turned on the key and still no change with anything on Data page. Does the motor need to be running for anything to light up? Also in the choose data page I don't see the engine hour selection anywhere.? And also the white plug on the motor that I plugged into only has two wires at the back of it.? Does that look right? Thanks for any help.

This is strange Mine was working for a week after I got it installed and now nothing
I checked all the connections and the 12v all though I don't think this setup requires 12v
other than doing continuity tests on the cables and swapping T's and terminators I'm clueless
Thanks. I ran power wire straight to battery. Two T's, (one T not showing in photo). Line from motor in, drop cable out to HDS. ? And with the key on I did the old wiggle test on the cords. ?
