Had one guy recently, fishing the pads about 15ft from the bank, in a river aprox 100 yards wide, give me the old "hands up" guesture as I went by him on plane, at least 70 yards away from him heading down the opposite bank. Then with a little more research, looks the area he fished is technically the “North Toledo Bend Wild Life Management Area” listed by Texas Parks and Wildlife as “Adjacent” to Toledo Bend. So the “leaving tournament waters wasn’t about the damn jump in my opinion…but he left Toledo Bend proper.Quote:

Don’t make more of it than it is. Amazing what people are digging up, with a little bit of controversy lately, and adding gasoline to an ash tray fire. Randy actually waved at him and it was accepted as a go around and because of a complaint he was DQ’d. Randy H was fine with it. It definitely looked worse than it was on video and Gerald was gut wrenched.
Gerald is a very solid person and while he’s opinionated, so be it. If you haven’t followed him we suggest catching January’s (2023) NPAA Conference seminar. It gives insight to the man most don’t have. He’s more than a Facebook and YouTube personality. He earned the AOY a and he’s earned his way in fishing.
