Interested in doing the upgrade to a + chart. My chip is older, so I need to buy the upgrade with the chip. I realize you can only load so much data on the chip. My question is when you are loading new charts onto the chip, is there a counter of some kind to let you know how much data you are loading? Hate to fill up the chip with lakes that may not be that important.
Yes they are a "counter"! You will realize that you can add more then you need. You can also choose différents areas.
Yes at the bottom of the page there will be a graphic
Can you delete data you do not want?
As a relatively new HDS/Navionics user, how best can I begin to really understand what My Lowrance side scan is showing me. Experience is always a teacher, but I would like to know if my "answers" are correct. Can anyone suggest a source for good information that would allow me to identify what I am seeing and gain some confidence? I am all about learning how to do it the right way.
Thanks

Unpaulie11-- at this time you cannot. So you'll need to save a tad bit of data if ou fill the whole 2 gigs if you're going to add SonarCharts and Freshest Data Updates.
There's discussion about adding this delete function to the card, it's a work in progress but currently not available.
I recently downloaded navionics app for my iPhone & iPad. I manually entered a few waypoints from my Garmin 76 to this app. The date & time stamp for each waypoint reads current date. How do I edit date & time for each waypoint to original settings in app?
Not familiar with Garmin but if can import the waypoints from the Garmin to a sd card, then import those into the app you will get the right time.
Myself and a friend both purchased Elite 5 DSI, we both fish mostly in the lower Mississippi area with a good bit of tidal waters. What would be the best or most accurate micro card for mapping of coastal waters and also lakes in the surrounding states. Or is there one for both. Aftermarket or Lowrance ??? Thanks ... Mike
With Navionics+ you can create the map that suit you're needs

Agreed. Nav+ will give you fresh and saltwater coverage plus the one foot sonarcharts
Thanks y'all. I'm going to go to the website and check it out. For me it would be a great option since I'm not much of a traveler and it might just be good enough for my buddy also.
Does anyone know what the navionics+ subscription rate is per year? I know if you buy it it comes with first year. Whats the best program to use along with navionics for your computer? can i add my own waypoints?
It's $99 for a year of SonarCharts uploads, Lake Map downloads and Freshest Data.
Just bought the Navionics premium East HotMaps. Have been to Navionics website trying to figure out how to register the card and sign up for the freshest Data every day. Says on the inside cover that Freshest data must be started within two months. Help please
