Shoot just drive over to Missouri where it is legal. Got a dispensary about 4 miles away from me right across the border. They have a drive through, not unusual to see more cars lined up for that drive through then you see at Chik-Filet. To far away to see how many out of state plates are in that line, but it would be interesting to know. I don't partake myself, but if it is legal, I have no problem with those that do.

Local law enforcement has said they aren't going out of their way to check or cite people coming from MO back into AR that have visited the weed store. It would be pretty easy to set up a sting.

we saw a stabilization/decrease in use by kids because instead of pot dealers being absolutely everywhere, you now need to go to a store and be of age to buy weed. Making it actually more difficult for kids to purchase it.

The usage absolutely increased amognst adults and in strong part its due to people using edibles etc that previously would not have bothered having to buy illegal pot from a dealer.

As stated earlier, if alcohol is legal, so should weed. The problem with cannabis is in the addiction to it, no different than alcohol. But for the very casual user such as myself (less than once a month), its a far better substance than alcohol, as long as i dont eat too many doritos I can assure you I wake up feeling far more healthier the next day after taking a light dose edible to relax my aching back and watch a movie, than I every do after having a few drinks and poisoning myself.

I've never heard of it being in weed and that you smoke and someone overdosing or dying but only pills and other type of drugs, not saying it's not but why? Maybe because weed is cheap and no need to add or cut anything into it to go further or create a better high? :confused2:

Fentanyl is destroyed when it is burned including when it is in a joint, blunt or other means of smoking marijuana. This means that even if it is mixed with marijuana flower it will have no effect on a person who is smoking it.

Didn't prevent that guy from trying, but my original point was you don't know what you're getting when you buy MJ off the street. Can you absorb fentanyl through skin contact? Might want to wear gloves when loading the bong.

Yeah you may get something FDA approved. Fentanyl is a legal drug approved by the FDA yet it is what makes Marijuana an issue and potentially dangerous?

How is that diff from the pill Drs that contributed immensely to the the the current opiate addiction in America for profit?

To talk about the side effects of one while not the other seems a bit misplaced when they (FDA approved pharma) are presented as the best solution. We have all heard the list of side effects on these modern meds. One pharma company threw away any concern for public health from hiring the FDA agent that gave them the magic label to making up terms like ghost addiction as way to increase sales. Killed thousands and we are still fighting the long term addictions it has caused. I am skeptical of the FDA for founded reasons. The pharma lobby has shown over and over the tentacles they have in the industry and the FDA has reversed course on way to many drugs.


I do like to visit the seizure side of its benefits as it hits close to home. Look up the alternatives side effects of Dilantin, Keppra, Lamictal. From Harvard Med to UCLA and thier Cannabis/Cannabinoids they agree on the absolutely phenomenal results it has had for folks with seizures. It is no longer a case of no enough research and may be just the opposite. Pharma companies have been funding research looking for the negative effect of cannabis because at this point they have quit trying to fight it as ineffective as that is no longer the broadly accepted medical opinion.


If folks have an issue with the abuse of cannabis I hope the same folks have the same issue with any opiate based prescription drug. To somehow connect a prescription the mere fact it is obtained via prescription does not make it magical.

This is similar to the dispensary setups in Menominee Michigan in the UP. Most dispensaries are drive through there and you put in an online order with an order confirmation like you would getting takeout at a restaurant.

Most all of the plates are Wisconsin plates there. There are limits on how many mg of THC you can buy with an out of state ID vs in state ID.

The thing is they give you the product in a black bag that you can't see into and it is stapled/sealed shut and you are not actually supposed to open it until you get home due to the way Michigan law is written. I don't think that is enough evidence for an officer to have probable cause to search your vehicle in a traffic stop though, but if that is a concern you could always put it in a duffle/backpack.

It is a stretch to have folks pulled over in a sting for this unless there are feds confirming a vehicle has possession at the dispensary and that vehicle leaves to cross the state border. I highly doubt the feds are going to waste their time with that.

FYI, everything fun is legal in Missouri and just about all of that isn't in Arkansas :roll:

No need to drive to Missouri when all you have to do here is have a telephone consultation with one of many "popular" doctors who will grant you a weed card if you stubbed your toe last night.

It could just be the way society has changed.................just sayin'.

I researched this as a result of an interview with Dr. Bill Morice, the Laboratory Head of the Mayo Clinic. He stayed away from the politics of the subject but voiced concern that mainstream America lacks the understanding of the true dangers of cannabis consumption.

Cannabis is a metal scavenging plant. Users have shown to have excessive levels of lead in their blood.

Lead levels are tested for in water and now illegal to be used in paint due to their negative impacts on the brain especially of those whose brains are still under change or development.

Lead is also well studied to lead to psychosis especially adolescent brains.

The science and data is there, but people are just so dug in on each side. I hope people take the time to research this and make informed decisions. At the very least, understand the challenge facing your children (and family) as acceptance of its use grows.
