staying the weekend or what?
Yep. The whole weekend. Its a 2 day club tx. We'll fish all day sat and 1/2 day on Sunday. If you had just come and joined the club, you would know this already!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif
11 boats...
I talked to Lundeen today and he said he caught a ton of quality fish in tidewater today and that water temps are in the mid 60's. Very nice....

nothing to be sorry about!!! Come join us and fish with us sometime. You know a few of the guys anyhow.. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif
looks like everyone is on vacation again... Does anyone know if Bates made it in to town ok or not???
I talked with rich yesterday, when he was on his way down, he still had about 9 hours to go. I imagine he is there, he is staying on base at Hunter. I will IM you his number, are you taking him fishing or going to meet up with him for a beer or two?
He didn't think he would have time to fish.. If he has time I am definetly gonna meet up with him and buy him a round. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
Say, how'd ya'll do at sinclair?? I finally got to the river yesterday. Perfect conditions but the water is real low. Caught 15 with quite a few short fish along the way. I'm no tx guy but the best 5 was probably around 12 or 13 lbs. Felt good to finally catch some for a change. My last 2 trips was just damn horrible.

We actually went to Oconee. As far as how we did, you need to ask Glen!! He slayed em. Close to 21lbs. He came in 2nd by himself... I only manged 12 1/2lbs.. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/crying.gif
Did y'all quit fishing over there or what? Must be that colder weather that's got y'all bundled up around the fireplace. I know Glenn has got to be out and about chunking that crankbait, so I would at least expect a report from him, now for Billy on the other hand if it's below 60 he might as well winterize the boat http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/stirthepot.gif
Whatever!! I ain't no fairweather fisherman!! Just ain't anyone doing good enough to brag. I do have a pic I can put up. Hold on a second... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif

Check out these MONSTERS!! They were caught by our TD David Grumme @ Lake Oconee a few weeks ago. He allowed us to keep slot limit fish. Non keepers slot on Oconee is 11" - 14". These were under 11"... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif
Now that there is some funny chit, i don't care who ya are!!! I figured out the reason Billy ain't fishing cause that oil he's running is 12X more expensive then the gas he has to buy http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/stirthepot.gif

Its outrageous let me tell ya!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/mad.gif
Whatever you do don't put OMFG on the boards again! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/stirthepot.gif
I know you didn't post Grumme's Oconee stumpknockers on the web too. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif I am back from the National Championships unfortunately 2 days early. On a positive note,,It is 4th year in a row we have won our conference and region championship and we went 24-12, but we have just not got over the hump at nationals and finished tied for 13th at the National tournament again. It is not too shabby but we should of been in the elite 8 this year but blew our chances in some tight matches.,,,,kind of like Billy breaking off the winning fish at Santee,,, Volleyball season is over now so maybe I can actually get out and fish a little. I haven't had the time to be on here in a long time. good to be back.
Glen - sorry to hear you are back home so early. Now you can practice up to pass Fussell... Did you get the e-mail I sent you and Jay??
Hey Hey no "secret"e-mails sent now http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif
Its OK Lee. It contained pictures your wife wouldn't allow you to see!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/embarassed.gif

Man she ruins everything! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif
surely somebody has been to da river....anyone with an update???
Coastal is fishing this Sat. We can let you know on Sunday!!
Remember we meet this Thurs @ Lovezzollas in Pooler 7:30pm.... http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
When does the new season begin? January? Can you get me a schedule or do ya'll plan as ya'll go? Also, are there any special requirements? I know some clubs used to require members to subscribe to B.A.S.S. magazine. Either way, I wouldn't mind jumping on board, just let me know. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif

new season begins in Jan and you have to be a FLW member. Come on out and join up.
Like Glen Said. First meeting of the year will be Jan 3. Still @ Lovezzollas 7:30 pm.
We will set our entire 2008 schedule at this meeting. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
Vote NO for Toho! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
January 3rd sounds good. As for joining FLW, I may already be. Seems when I bought my boat their membership was included. I know they send be stuff almost every month. I'll have to check into that to find out for sure.
I take it the first T will be on the following Saturday at Clyo or Stokes............?
How bout ya'lls 07 season, who's in control??
http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
Richard Fussell is in first by 2.3 pounds over me and he is lucky that I have missed 3 full days of tournament fishing this year or I would more than likely be way on top. Sat I just have to get more than 2.3 pounds more than Fussell and keep him from winning angler of the year for what seems like the (6th or 7th time?). Brandon Burnsed is right on my heals in third with Richard Porsga 4th, Billy Roberson 5th and Craig Mason 6th making up the top 6 as of now. John Lundeen and Josh Sheffield are knocking on the top 6 door and it will be interesting to see how the Dec river fishing is to everyone tommorow and finalize our top 6 team. Unfortunate for us most everyone in the club loves to catch tidewater fish and they voted to put in a Millstone after a open tournament is going out of there at 8am and 2 other clubs are putting in at Houlihan. There will be no shortage of boats out there tommorow and we will get no where first blasting off behind all of them. It should be interesting. First tournament is usually a draw and as mentioned they sure do love to go out of millstone. We need someone else that will vote to go upriver. Come on out in Jan. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
man, I hate tidewater. If I were fishing tomorrow, I'd gas up and take off north, way way north. One good fish from up river normally is worth 5 quality fish from down. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
thanks for the up-date
T
Well we had a decent day on the river. Most everyone had small limits. Brandon Burnsed had 5 that went 9-15 good enough for 1st and I had 5 that went 9-1 good enough for 2nd and I had big fish of 3-1. Hampton County Bassmasters had an open tx out of Millstone as well and I believe it took a little over 11lbs to win. So all in all I was not disappointed with what I did today. Richard Fussell was able to stay ahead of Glen and win Angler of the Year for Coastal yet again. Congrats Richard!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif Glen finished in 2nd, Brandon Burnsed in 3rd, me 4th ( I was already in 4th not 5th), Richard "Boo" Porsga 5th and Craig "CORNBREAD" Mason finished in 6th place!! Congrats guys to a great 2007 season!! Now lets plan our trip to the Top 6 @ Clark Hill in March... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
Sorry about your misranking Billy. It was a pretty good day and a lot of fish were caught but just no kicker fish weighed in. Tidewater is got for numbers right now but the upriver bite is tough.
Sounds like Millstone was busy...plus there must have been one going on around Clyo as well. Probably saw 8 or 10 trailers heading that way early Saturday mornin. most likely tournament fishing.
Congrats to you all in the top 6!
And hey, where is Lee in the mix? Where you at 512???
http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
Lee had alot going on this year with his kids and of course hunting when season came in. If he hadn't missed a few tx he would be right up there. I think Lee was 13 or 14 overall. Not bad for missing as many as he did.. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
I finished 16th this year Todd. I missed 6 tournaments throughout the year. Not to make excuses but work really had me busy. I usually do better in the lake than I do here in the river. I hope to get back into it pretty heavy in '08
It's all about priorities bud. Raising a family can be demanding, therefore you have to do what you have to do. I'll be in the same boat when ya'll kickoff the 08 season. Really looking forward to it, but I can't guarantee I'll make all of them. It's not uncommon for me to have to pull 70 hour work weeks. I'll just have to see how the schedule falls once put together then hope I can swing the day off. As for the out-of-towners, I will mark those days "off". http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif
As for 16th place, well, atleast I won't have to worry about any competition from you over last place. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
