Re: Roswell, Ga (Sterling)
They use to have great schools not sure now, crime rate is low nice old town with heavy traffic during rush hour.
Alpharetta is the next town up it is smilar with a little more layed back mentality.
Cumming is above Alpharetta 15- 20 miles from Roswell depending on route taken... Great schools, very low crime rate, traffic is becoming pretty bad here as well, the south side of the county is developed heavily, the north side to west side of Cumming is still mostly locals and somewhat still country!
If I was working in Roswell I would look 8 miles on the Westside of Forsyth(Cumming) in the Ducktown community (this is where I live) from there is back roads to Roswell and you can dodge some of the traffic! Bonus- I live 8 miles from Lake Lanier! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
Re: Roswell, Ga (Sterling)
I lived in Roswell for 18 years. I liked it there. HOWEVER if you will be traveling into Atlanta, GA400 is a bear. Being in Roswell gave me a straight shot up to Lake Lanier which was nice. Roswell is a good area if you are in a nice area, have no worries with that. North Point Mall is a very nice Mall.
After living in Roswell i was transferred to SoCal for 6 years. After that i came back to GA but now live on the South side, a choice i made due to traffic..
If you have specific questions feel free to IM me.
Re: Roswell, Ga (ShaftDilbert)
i'm fairly new to this area and don't think roswell is to bad..............crazy traffic during rush hour, but that's anywhere within the atlanta metro. be prepared for a 3 1/2 mile drive to last near an hour or so until you get to know back roads. north fulton schools are top notch and my boy loves dolvin elementary. i think roswell is mimosa or river eves. crime is like anywhere else i reckon. depending on what part of roswell, it can be very expensive (for us anyway) especially with alpharetta and johns creek right there.

Re: Roswell, Ga (Sterling)
Sterling, You trout fish? Barnwell Park....Island Ford....State Bridge....all 5 minutes away. You are close to Lanier and Alltoona... I am a Sheriff's Deputy in Fulton County..Crime is all over. But North Fulton is better then Atlanta or South Fulton. I live in Newnan (Coweta County). You need something let me know..... John
Re: Roswell, Ga (transdep1)
Thanks everyone..I had my interview Thursday and all went very well. They will make me an official offer Monday.
Thanks John. I don't trout fish at all. I have looked at housing which I find very afforable but I am toying with the idea of setting my camper(35' fifth wheel) up on lake Alltoona for a little while. My family will not join me until the house sells and my oldest graduates college. So we are looking at summer 2012.
I noticed they have tx every Sunday during the winter month's.Would also like to join a club.
