Re: Lake George ramp?? (Dan I)
Don't know about Cresent. The closest ramp to George from the east side would be in Welaka. Check the top of this board for directions and Good Luck!
Re: Lake George ramp?? (Dan I)
new city ramp in crecent city on 17 just s. of welaka.
Re: Lake George ramp?? (gatrboy52)
Cresent is fishing very tough right now... I would fish the river and George and put in in Astor & Welatka.
Re: Lake George ramp?? (trashy)

Re: Lake George ramp?? (Dan I)
I havent been on the river lately....been night fishing lakes and such..the shrimp are just about at there peak right now, which will make it tough ...astor or rodman would be my choices for a visitor....

Re: Lake George ramp?? (Dan I)
Crescent Lake is very tough right now. There are two ramps closer to Lake George than Welaka. Might be easier getting to George. Both ramps are on Co. Rd. 309 in George Town area. One is a pay ramp at Porky's (restraunt) and the other is a free ramp next to the ferry that goes across to Drayton Island.
Re: Lake George ramp?? (LAM)
the ramp at porkys SUCKS, imho.....thats why i didnt mention it....boy, has that place run down..... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif
Re: Lake George ramp?? (ol man river)
If the shrimp are what they are eating do you guys try to match the bait like we do the bait fish up here?
If so what works best?
Gulp has a shrimp I was looking at..?
Re: Lake George ramp?? (Dan I)
a live shrimp ! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
i used to use an old doa shrimp in clear gold flake with good success...sadly, they now have changed the desidn of the bait and its no longer suitable for my purposes....( ie working like a fluke )'
when the shrimp are in its really up to the bass..you can find a wad of fish and..one day you will tear em up, the next....nothing...then they come back..usually the day after the tnt ! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif
