Re: Guntersville in October (skeeterJim)
Usually cool nites and warm to hot days.It can be a wet time usually dry.FROGS!!!!
Re: Guntersville in October (skeeterJim)
Try the Jameson Inn in Scottsboro......but it will be full Oct 8-12 for the Wounded Veterans tx there. The TX will go out of Goose Pond ramp. If you are there before that no worries. The new Hampton Inn next to Walmart is also nice.
For size throw a frog in the grass in the coves or along the edges of the grass in the channel.

Thanks for the info guys. Keep it coming. Will there still be some fish on the ledges? What water temp range can we expect? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

Re: Guntersville in October (RETRO)
Thanks for the responses! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif Are there any camps with cabins to rent that anyone would suggest?

Re: Guntersville in October (skeeterJim)
Goose Pond Colony also has cabins right on the water. I think each one has its own boat dock.
Re: Guntersville in October (skeeterJim)
The Hampton Inn is a very nice place to stay and with plenty of parking in the back. Its on the lower end of the lake in the town of Guntersville.
Also the Holiday Inn is ok....kinda bad parking. You have to unhook from the boat to be able to park.
The State park is definatly a nice place to stay. They do have cabins for rent but call in advance they book quick.
Dodds Cove Cabins are a great place to stay, located at mid-lake on Highway 79. Contact them at 256-582-4104 / or email doddscovecabins.com
They have a few cabins that are not "on the water" but are private and have good parking with plenty of room. It would be perfect for a small group of folks to have a good time. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
