Taking My Brother to G'ville Saturday....
I haven't been on the lake in a year. Taking my younger brother over who has never been on the lake. Actually he's only been fishing once this year and that was with me on Mother's Day. We went on Wilson and he was using one of my spinning rods. I told him to learn how to throw a baitcaster before we go anywhere else. He bought him one two weeks ago so I'm hoping to get him on some G'ville bass.
What do we need to throw and what area of the lake? We'll put in at Waterfront (old Waterfront, not Goose Pond). There is a BFL over there out of the State Park so if you want to IM me some info instead of posting it for the world that would be fine.
Thanks in advance for any help. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

Well I just went with what I like to do on G'ville. We fished in 2 foot of water over the grass (very little has made it to the surface). Caught 25 or so fish with the biggest being just over 5. Wound up with 15.33 total. We started this way, then went to some deeper spots I knew but just couldn't get bit. Came back to the shallows and kept catching fish. I might could have fished the deeper stuff and caught a couple of decent fish, but with this being my brother's first time out there I felt like it was more important to catch fish than to look for 5 bites all day.
Gotta love a topwater bite that goes all day in the bright sunshine. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
