Alright fellas...I need some help with where to stay
Guys, I am seriously contemplating coming to Guntersville the 13th for a few days. I have NEVER been there. I dont want yer secret holes or whatever, but I would greatly appreciate a little guidance. I dont wana make an 8 hour drive for a hard time. What would be the nicest, most secure place to stay? I found a hampton on Google that looks to be lakefront. Is this in a good area for a decent launch and a decent amount of fishing?

I would stay at the Hampton or Holiday Inn in Guntersville

You might check out Creekstone Lodge - http://www.creekstonelodge.com/. It's located on Mud Creek, north of Scottsboro. They have rooms with a boat garage attached - can't get much more secure than that!

I would stay at the Hampton in Guntersville if it were me.
You should be looking at catching 25+ fish per day. You can catch 2-3lbers all day long if you want. Hope you have a great time while your here!!

i like staying in scottsboro better and seems the fishing is better on that end of the lake for me. the jamison inn is hard to beat, good clean rooms and a ruby tuesday & pizza place next door. good luck.

After keeping up with the Bassmaster Elite tourny last weekend it looks like most good fish were caught on post spawn fish on drops in 8'-20' water on Crankbaits and C-Rigs. Current helps a LOT!!! Look for it.
Good luck and have FUN!!!!
