I'm headed up there this weekend to do a little fishing, anybody been up there lately that has anything to report? I heard the rat bite wasn't all that good right now, just trying to get mentally prepared for what I'll be throwing....
I also posted this over in the fishing reports section, but thought some of you guys might have been up there lately...

I'll do it LD, I'm going to put in at Goosepond and I'm probably not going to go far, but if I make it up that far I'll try to look you up. I'll be in a Skeeter ZX250 (Burgundy, Red & White)...
I will be up there in a lead slead. Probably down the lake as I am staying at Covenant Cove. I was thinking about running up the lake some. Never been there before. Hope to see ya'll there. Have frogs. Will travel....

I spoke with a guy today that just got back from G-ville, he said they had 12# in a tourny. Lake was murky, and the only grass was in 2 to 3 foot of water, not mats. Said most fish came on 10" worms. I sure hope it gets better by Sept 23rd
Greg, Are you fishing the FOM regionals here on the 23rd? Good news though Gville is not murky LOL. And 12lbs must have been small T. The bite has been real strong. All topwater, all the way. Rat bite is over rated now, alot of grass not matted, and the wind machine has broken up some but plenty of grass. Good luck!
Yes Kerry I will be heading down to G-ville on the 23rd for the FOM. I spoke with another guy yesterday that works at the power plant there on G-ville. So I have a few tips on what we need to start looking for. I have one more call to make, and should have something to try. My first time on G-ville and want to catch some big bass, long drive, and with these gas prices. Are you fishing the FOM?
Yeah I am fishing the FOM. You will pound some fish down here now. Numbers are incredible right now. I am sure it will take 50lbs easy for our 2 day event, probably more like close to 60lbs. Power fishing at it's best. We fished last year up on KY and Barkley and had a blast. KY and Gville are alot alike. But the G fishes a little shallower. And the gas is going to be brutal 4 sure!!!.
