Guntersville Lake

I have been hearing about the lake's fishing in regards to the milfoil on the top of the water. A few questions; when would be the best time to come and fish when the milfoil is on top of the water? we have a group of church going guys from here in east Tennessee that want to come down and fish the lake, but we want to come when it is on top of the water. Any information would be appreciated:

where to launch
places to stay
where to fish
when to come (bets time of the year)
etc...

it's very close to the top now in several places, i'd say a couple more weeks or so...

We are actually looking for when the best time to fish with frogs and rats on top of the milfoil. You guys would know more about when. We don't have the milfoil here in East TN.

The best rat fishing is usually in late September or October, just depends on the weather.
