Re: Engine Repair (swilliams)
I have my motor worked on at Gene's in Montgomery. I know two of the mechanics and trust there work. They never done me wrong.
Re: Engine Repair (Shoofly)
Thanks, I will give them a call. That would be really good since they are just up the road .
Re: Engine Repair (swilliams)
I second Eddie's comment. Gene's in Montgomery has a pretty good service dept. There is a guy nammed John that runs the service dept. that will help you out. Last time I was there he was still there. He comes and goes sometimes but last I heard he is still there. I have heard good and some bad about them but all my dealings have been good and I will keep them as my mechanic until otherwise. Good luck!!!

I have used them and the service is good. Montgomery Marine charges to much for me. I need work done on a budget. Took my boat in on Wednesday and they told me it would be done by Sat and I was done in 3 hours!

Gene's... http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
I've always gotten good service and reasonable pricing there.....I re-powered with my H.O. from there...have had warranty problems and have always got fast service. I have heard good and bad......but I think you will hear that about ANY marine repair facility.
They have always shot it straight with me.
Re: Engine Repair (swilliams)
Well, I appreciate the information on Gene's, but I called them and they won't work on an Evinrude Ficht and said they didn't know anyone that would. Just my luck.
Back to square one.

Oh well, Time to go buy a mercury!!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/stirthepot.gif ( Rick, I thought you would like that )
Re: Engine Repair (lvfishn)
I have been pondering that very idea.
My needs just outweigh my wants so I will just have to wait.
