Re: results SOAL Lay Lake (Shoofly)
It was a beautiful day yesterday. I don't think you could have asked for prettier weather. However, the fish'n was really tough. Thanks everyone for coming out. Special thanks to Mark,Steve, Joey and Jarod, that drove so far to fish with us.
Re: results SOAL Lay Lake (nosaj2)
I had a good time fishing with Steve, we caught some fish but never got on any the right size.
The only thing bad is I seem to have lost a Kistler C/R Rod (that I just bought that morning) http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif I'm bummed out about that,, Heck I didn't even get to use it. I'm hoping that I left it in Steves boat, if not I guess someones got them a free rod. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/crying.gif
Re: results SOAL Lay Lake (poison)
Wow. Mark I hope it's in Steve's boat too. Are you sure it didn't blow out somewhere?
Re: results SOAL Lay Lake (poison)
Mark there was one leaning on the back of the boat when I pulled up and I thank you were looking or working on one. But I did not see it when I pulled around to put my boat in.

Shoot, bein in Auburn, I have to drive wherever I fish except for Harding and I was tellin Mark before we left that I'd take a 13" coosa spot over a 16" smallmouth or largemouth any day of the week. I love the coosa chain.
Hate we lost Mark's rod and my boat motor messed up and an abu garcia premier drag went to crap, but other than those things happening I had a great time as usual.
Maybe Mark will put up with me again in April. I offered a consolation prize if he'd let me fish with him at Miller's Ferry.
Re: results SOAL Lay Lake (swilliams)
Well,...here is my input on the lost rod (this is the first time I have heard of the incident)...After we were all standing around that morning in the darkness I got into Matt's truck to put him in and as I began to drive toward the first turn a man jumped out in front of me and grapped a rod laying on the pavement and walked back toward the ramp. This happened some 50 foot before you make the first turn to the left.
I thought at the time that the rod surely was his...... Sorry, but I didn't think it was any of our equipment since no one had said anything about a missing rod.
Re: results SOAL Lay Lake (buzzn)
No problem Rick and thanks for the update but Jason called me today and said he had it, someone picked it up and it was all busted up (ran over 4 or 5 times) but Jason is going to bring it down to Dothan with him and I will get what's left of it then. It's a dang shame too I never even got to use it, Oh well it's my own fault can't blame no one but me. Live and Learn I guess. Just wish I could have learned that lesson with a Walmart Rod instead of a Nice Kistler Rod. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/crying.gif Thanks again Jason and who ever found it.
