Southern Chapter - Sign up to fish Mitchell 3-3-2007

Ok guys looks like Mitchell has won the month of March. When you sign up please post where you would like to launch from. Either Higgins Ferry (public launch where we usually launch from) Or try GRACE's which is a private launch $2-$3. Grace's can only handle about 8-10 boats comfortably. both are about the same distance off the interstate. Grace's is located in Cargle creek. I'm only bringing this up because Higgins Ferry has been so crowded every time we have fished it. But, either is fine with me. The launch with the most votes on 2-28-07 will be where we launch from.

Well guys, I'm gonna go ahead and call the ramp at Higgins Ferry. It has the most votes as of right now. Also, I think with the number that we have it would be just as crowded at Grace's. But, it's a good thing we have this number! I wish all our tourney's would be this big.

So, here are the details.

--Launch from Higgin Ferry Landing.

-- Sunrise is around 6am. So, you guys give your self enough time to get paper work taken care of, a little smack talked, and get in the water.

-- I am aiming to be there around 5:15. If any of you guys who don't recognize my truck or my sexy figure, I will have my hazard lights on my truck.

-- If it looks like you are going to be running late, call my cell phone. 205-217-0925. leave a message if I don't answer. (late would be after 6:10)

-- If you sign up and find out that you can't make it for what ever reason friday night please post on this thread and let me know. I will check it before I leave the house sat morn. Other wise I'll be waiting for you. (until 6:10)

How do you get to Gracie's?

from exit 205 go south on hwy31 until you come to "KELLYCO" (gas station). Just past kellyco turn left onto county road 24 (careful it is only about 30 yard past CoRd 97). Go until it dead ends take a left and follow the signs to G.R.A.C.E Marina.

There is no launch we could use in walnut...sorry.

There still some voting left on this. We could still end up at HF.

me and Heath will be there,as far as marina it doesnt really matter.wouldnt want to be around a crowd and im sure Higgins will be crowded so either one for me

Higgins Ferry is OK with me. Still not sure whether I will have my boat that weekend or not so I would like to fish this one from the back deck if anyone is willing to have me. I can't guarantee a win but I should be good for a couple of keepers. If you look back a previous results, when I fish from the back deck my partners and I usually do OK.

Jason, the traiiler has to be heavy duty because is logs a lot of miles on it the
trailer is worth more than the boat,that is whats keep me from getting a new boat.

Not sure if I can get there but what is the name of the ramp that is at the end of the road beside the old Shoney's Inn.
