Alternator output on 70HP Johnson
Can anyone tell me the rated charging capacity on a 1998 J70PLEEE? Is it considered a fully regulated charging system, or will it just boil the battery to use excess charging current? Also, any recommendations on battery isolators to charge a 24V system while running? I read about a 'trollbridge' on another section that sounds neat. Any others? Thanks.

I would not worry about it,its only 12 amp system...

The model number says your motor is a 1999, not a '98.
Your motor has a 12 amp fully regulated charging system, it will not boil out the battery.
