Re: Neely Henry (bping81)
Now that city park in downtown Gadsden is closed, I would get off on hwy. 77 before you get to Gadsden. At the ramp you will need to head south (right). You will go through Rainbow City and then just before you cross the river(big bridge) there is a good ramp on the right. This ramp will be approx. 10 min. from I-59. This puts you at about mid lake. This time of year I would head South. Fish the mouth of any cut on the North side of the river. Sun has warmed those first and the spots are about ready to spawn right now. I won a tournament by myself 2 weeks ago with 17 lbs that I caught in one cut about 5 miles south of that ramp. Throw a tube or a jig in 3'-6' water and you'll do good. Big bags being caught right now. Took 25lbs to win a tourn. last week on the south end. Water temps are in the low to mid 50's. Hope this helps

Wow! Thanks for all that great info! I plan on going Friday if the weather cooperates. I really apreciate your post, that helps a great deal.
Re: Neely Henry (bping81)
No problem. That is my home lake and I fish it at least twice a week. If you feel like running to the south end, fish the back of shoal creek and mid way back in bridge creek. They produce good bags right now also. From hwy. 77 ramp it is only a 15 min. run. The best way to run that river is to hammer down and don't even look at the depth finder. If you run half throttle or idle over the shallow stuff, you will hit something. I've been doing it for years and never hit anything yet. Knock on wood.
Re: Neely Henry (damstriper)
Thanks Rusty! We will take your advice and head South. Looks like Friday will be a good day to be out on the water. I'll let you know how we do.
Re: Neely Henry (C21HOMETEAM)
You can put in across the lake behind the community college. City park is still closed. My club went down there last weekend and my partner and I over 2 days had 8 bass that weighed 26.5 lbs all caught on crankbaits in 2-5 feet of water. If there is current you will catch alot of fish.
Re: Neely Henry (mercury97)
As I understand it the city launch is closed forever. Its going to be a parking lot for a new building being built next door.

N.H. treated us bad friday , only 11# and a lot of zeroes at the weigh in , how'f you do??
Re: Neely Henry (toddgot5fish)
We had a club tourney there last Sat. Had 4 keepers at 8.5#. Winning sack pushed 16# w/ big fish around 5.9 I believe. You had to work the current to get bit. All of ours were on the main river, boat in 20 ft of water casting in to 8-10 ft and letting the current take it. With these warm days now, I am sure that pattern is changing.
