I am looking at a new 2011 triton 18se. It has a 175 pro xs on it. Pretty standard other than that. I would like to hear the good and bad about this boat. Also, what speeds are you getting? Thanks

The 18SE is a awesome boat, and is a big 18 footer. The boat will run in the mid to high 60's on a jackplate and a Tempest prop.
i just purchased a 2012 Triton 18 eXplorer with a 150 opti, 6 inch jack plate and 21p tempest prop and when i first seen it once it arrived i was speechless... for an 18 footer there is a ridiculous amount of storage and how it is setup seat wise and consol wise is awesome as well...im bringing her home this friday and cannot wait to run for the firstime...after break in period the dealer told me itll run mid 60s with full tourney load
It will be hard to break 60 mph with a 21 tempest plus prop on a opti 150. I have a 21 tempest plus on opti 150 and the best I've seen is 58 mph at 5700. You have to turn a 23 tempst plus to 5750 rpm to get mid-60's.

The 175 will run mid to upper 60's. The 150 set up right will run 62-63 on a good day. I've had mine to 64.2 with a Fury 24. The key to getting this boat to run well is to get the lift out of it which is not always easy. The boat has excellent storage capability and has a lot of freedom to set it up however it works for you. You'd love the boat!
There is a 2011 18SE with 175 on Texas fishing forum with 10 hours at a good price.
I just looked again, it only has a 150 on it.
