I did mine a couple years ago. I couldnt find anything precut. I used basscats 24 oz and it turned out great. I used all contact cement. Did it in a weekend.
I also want t handles these d rings gota go, where do I get them?
Started project lids off boat, one hour, now removing old carpet off them. Well keep everyone posted
Dont worry about finding a precut kit their always cut way big. Be careful with tear out and use the old floor and front deck carpet for your pattern. Lids are pretty easy and you can use your hinges aginst the lid edge to make your cut and it'll be a perfect lap over the edge of the lid.http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Perko t handle latches came in today, waiting for carpet. Looking to see some progress this weekend!
Carpet came today,can't wait!
Remember to lay all of the carpet grain the same way. A lot of tips on the restoration forum page
After reading a few more post little did I know ALL old glue and carpet fibers had to come off, 2 hours later all 10 lids are done. I found a 2 1/2 whole saw at Lowes today, used a 1 inch thick 14inch long piece of wood as a template a few clamps and drilled out my 10 deck lids in less than an hour. So far about 8 hours into this and not one lid has new carpet on it.....lol I hope to have all 10 lids and both speakers done by Monday, pull out bench seat and do floor and deck, put lids on a few at a time next week, back on the water next weekend. We will see.
I can't believe how long this is taking, lids are still not on boat, deck is almost done ,just have to glue and cut the corners, floor and under seat next.WOW!!!!
I am doing the same thing on my 19ss. I spent almost all of Sunday getting the glue off of the panel that the seats attach to and the two front locker lids. I've tried to take my time and do one lid at a time so I don't get burnt out. All lids almost clean with atleast 12 hours spent total. Hope its worth it in the end. Good luck. Post pics. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Front deck and rear deck are done! Floor and under bench next,SO MANY HOURS I've lost track will post some pictures tomorrow.
Here are a few pictures from start to finish, I have to cut out a bigger hole for new T handle perko latches, front deck rough, finished front deck, back deck and floor. I have drank 3, 18 packs and one bottle of vodka so far!

It really is amazing when we you start one project and then turns into 3-4 for example, replacing carpet turned into new T handles x 10, new bilge pumps x 2, new steering cables, new hot foot, when does it end? Motor was rebuilt last year,$1800,3 new batteries last year ,reupholstered bench seat and both butt seats last year plus all these projects my 17 year old boat will be NEW not to mention the new to me used fishfinders x2. I found out what BOAT means, bust out another thousand ! God help me
Look boat out yesterday was nice to be out on a new boat
Hey looks good! Any idea where that deck extension is from I need one bad . For my 98 295 pe dc
Looks great! I am about to need new carpet in mine but before I do I am thinking a major transformation which will include some major glass work...just having a hard time deciding if I want to go cutting on a boat that is immaculate. I want the deck extended but I want it glassed in and gel coated. I can do the job no problem and make it look factory just a lot of time I do not have right now!
Sorry I have no idea where the other owner got the extension, it is made of glass and was painted the same color as the boat. I would try C and O Marine ask for Carol she is the balls! She has helped me many times!!!
