95 201Pro XL 200 Vindicator Performance
I bought a 95 stratos 201Pro Xl w/200 Vindicator a couple weeks ago. Vey nice boat...Has a 24 Raker - 6" Hydraulic Jack Plate - compression 100-104 psi on all six. WOT 5400 rpm @ 52 MPH GPS. Started out at 2 1/2 below on jack plate. Moved up and down 1/4" increments with no better results. Hard to start at times like it's flooding out. Have to let it set 5 minutes with motor trim all the way up then will crank with trimed up. Also when I put in gear it will shut off unless I give it some gas Immediately when I put in gear. It takes a while to plane out when I take off.

Your WOT should be around 5800 - 5900 rpm. Have someone do a link sync and also make sure when your throttle is opening all the way. Then do a decarb and tune-up

I had all exact same issues with a 96 200 Johnson. Ended up being a timer base and stator going bad. Hopefully that is not your problem as it was almost 1K to fix.

It is making sure that all of your carbs open equally and fully. BTW your prop to pad will need to be about 3.25 - 3.5 below
